Padlet

Padlet is a great way to generate class discussion whilst students can remain anonymous if they wish to do so. In regards to the fitness components, a teacher can use padlet to engage students on the content and have everyone contributing in class using their laptops or ICT device.

As an example, a teacher can instruct each student to mention which sport they play and then mention the fitness components that are involved in those sporting movements. General discussion about the answers that were given could then be had to explore the topic to a deeper extent.

Performing the Fitness Tests

By VCE, all Physical Education students would have performed fitness tests at some point in their secondary education. The difference now is that they know that these tests are directly linked to fitness components. By students physically performing these tests and having gained new knowledge, they then begin to develop a full understanding of the fitness components, their characteristics and what makes them unique.
